Present Tense of Irregular Verbs
What is an irregular verb?
You should be familiar with that expression because you have already learned two very irregular verbs: essere and avere. In any case, an irregular verb is a verb that does not follow a regular conjugation. Most often, it is the root of the verb that changes from the infinitive form, and sometimes the verb endings might vary a bit too.
As in many other languages, including English, there are many irregular verbs. Here you will find the most common irregular verbs conjugated in the present tense:
Andare (to go), venire (to come), fare (to do/make), volere (to want), dovere (must/to have to), potere (can/to be able to)
